Two New Haven men have been arrested in connection with a violent home invasion in West Haven in October.

Police said the victims, a couple, had just returned to their Alling Street home around 10 p.m. on Oct. 11 when three men walked into their driveway, pushed them into their home, pistol-whipped them, pushed them to the floor and stole, a wallet, purse and cell phones.

Dakari Harper, 19, and Bries Beckford, 19, both of New Haven, have been charged with home invasion, first-degree robbery, criminal use of a weapon, larceny and assault.

Both suspects were already incarcerated for previous crimes and were charged additionally with this incident, police said.

The investigation continues for a third suspect.
