    1 Dead After Stabbing in New London

    One man is dead and another has been released from the hospital after a stabbing on Blackhall Street in New London Wednesday night.

    Officers responded to the second floor of 49 Blackhall St. at 7:20 p.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting a disturbance and possible stabbing, police said, and found two men with stab wounds.

    Both were taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and Raheeim General, 33, of New London, died from the wounds he sustained, police said.

    The other person who was stabbed, a 36-year-old New London man, was treated and released from the hospital. He was charged on an unrelated warrant for violation of a protective order and is in custody on $10,000 cash surety bond.
