A husband and wife were shot on Monday morning in a private home on Grumman Avenue in Wilton and police are investigating.
Police said a 47-year-old man suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound. His 39-year-old wife with was also shot. No one else was present at the time of the shooting, police said.
Wilton police responded to a home around 8 a.m. after receiving a report of gunshots and found the woman at a neighboring address. The man was at an adjacent residence, police said.
Police have not released the address of the shooting location.
Both adults were transported to Norwalk Hospital.
Wilton police are investigating.
