2nd Suspect in Torrington Home Invasion Arrested

Police have arrested a second suspect in a home invasion in Torrington.

Police responded to a home on Pearl Street on July 16 after two men forced their way into the house, assaulted a woman and stole several items, police said.

The victim was transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, treated for injuries and later released. Police said she did know one of the suspects.

Police arrested Randy Gilbar, 28, of Torrington, on July 29.

He has been charged with first-degree home invasion, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.

He is being held on $350,000 bond. 

Gilbar was the second person charged in the case.

Police earlier arrested Hillary D. Combs, 46, and charged him with home invasion, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree sexual assault and first-degree attempted sexual assault.
