2 Bridgeport firefighters killed in the line of duty

Two Bridgeport firefighters have died in the line of duty. City officials tell NBC Connecticut the firefighters were killed while fighting a fire on Elmwood Avenue. The fire broke out at a two-story home around 5p.m. Saturday. The firefighters were found unconscious on the third floor and were taken to Bridgeport and St. Vincent's Hospitals. Their names weren't released.

As many as five other firefighters were hurt and are being treated for heat exhaustion at a nearby hospital.

There's no immediate word on what caused the fire.
