Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Haddam Moodus Road (Route 149) in East Haddam Tuesday.
State police said around 10:40 p.m. they responded to Haddam Moodus Road near Creek Row for a motorcycle accident. According to police, the motorcycle was traveling when the operator lost control around a curve and crashed into a metal guardrail. Both the operator and passenger were thrown from the vehicle.
The operator, identified as 22-year-old Nicholas Fairchild of Madison, was airlifted to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries. The passenger, 21-year-old Sierra Wilson-gowac of Moodus, was taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries.
