2 Teens Lead Police on Pursuit in Stolen Car in Manchester: PD

Two teenagers are accused of leading police on a pursuit through multiple towns in a stolen vehicle early Wednesday morning.

Manchester Police say they observed three suspicious vehicles at Food Bag on East Center Street around 2:20 a.m.

When officers checked the registration of one of the vehicles, a silver Subaru Forrester, they learned it had been reported stolen out of Manchester on Tuesday night.

Officers say they tried to pull the vehicle over, but it continued driving and led them on a pursuit that proceeded onto I-84 westbound and into Hartford. The vehicle stopped on Gillette Street in Hartford and both the 17-year-old male driver and the passenger, 19-year-old Kyle Bolduc of Manchester, fled on foot.

Members of Hartford Police and Connecticut State Police helped Manchester Police arrest both the 17-year-old and Bolduc.

According to police, the 17-year-old and Bolduc were also in possession of items that had been stolen during recent car burglaries in Manchester, South Windsor and Vernon.

Both the 17-year-old and Bolduc are facing charges that include larceny, reckless endangerment, criminal trover and possession of a facsimile firearm. The 17-year-old is also facing reckless driving and engaging police in pursuit charges.
