A 7-year-old boy was killed in a rollover crash on Route 15 southbound in Wallingford Friday afternoon.
State police said Jay Goodwin Jr. was riding in a jeep with two other people when it crashed on the Wilbur Cross Parkway.
The crash was reported at 1:30 p.m. on Friday in the area of exit 66. The southbound lanes of the Wilbur Cross Parkway were closed for several hours while police investigated.
Police said Goodwin was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car. The driver and another passenger were transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, but the extent of their injuries is not known.
The accident is under investigation.
