Three state beaches will be closed during this year's Labor Day weekend.
Kettletown in Southbury, Indian Well in Shelton and Wharton Brook in Wallingford are all closed this weekend, officials with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said on Saturday.
Officials said cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae, has closed both Kettletown and Indian Well. Wharton Brook remains closed from storm damage.
All other state beaches are open this weekend, according to DEEP.
