Teen Was Home at Time of Home Invasion: Cops

Police arrested three teens accused of breaking into a Chester home where a 14-year-old girl was home alone on Tuesday morning, police said.

The girl was alone in her West Main Street home when three men came in the window, police said. When the teen confronted the men, they ran off and the girl called 911, police said.

Police found two of the three suspects near the house and a K9 tracked the other man down, police said. One of the men had an “illegal knife,” police said and they recovered stolen property.

Police arrested James Clarke, 18, of Chester, Antoine Lanham, 19, of Deep River, and a 16-year-old. They were charged with home invasion , burglary and additional charges.
 

Clarke and Lanham were held on $25,000 and is due in court on Aug. 10.  The juvenile was released to his mother and is due in court on Aug. 17.
