Bridgeport police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot in the neck and torso Tuesday night.
Police said shots were fired on Laurel Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. and officers found the victim, identified as 30-year-old Bridgeport resident Edwin "Jeremy" Mangual, unresponsive.
He was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
They said the shooting was not random and that Mangual appears to have been targeted.
