4 Seriously Injured in Ansonia Crash

Westfield Avenue is closed after the crash.

Four people were seriously injured when a car hit a parked vehicle and a medical building in Ansonia this morning.

Lt. Andrew Cota, of the Ansonia Police Department, said the crash happened around 10 a.m. and the car struck the Children's Medical Associates office at 20 Westfield Avenue.

The road is closed.

Cota said police had to extricate four people in their twenties and thirties from the car and emergency crews transported them to hospitals in Bridgeport and New Haven.
No information was immediately available on their conditions.
