For the price of a good lunch you might be able to furnish your bedroom or that home office.
UConn is selling off dorm furniture and some office items. According to the Public Surplus Store, you can get a bed for just $5. Chairs and desks are selling for the same price too.
They expect some of the most popular items will be photo copiers and computers, which range from $40 to $400.
The Public Surplus Store sells items from by all UConn departments. It is open one day per month to the general public, staff and students.
The sale is Friday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. All sales are "as is" and are cash only. It's located at the Depot Campus in the old Mail Services Building at 6 Ahern Lane, Route 44 in Storrs.
