A 70-year-old Branford woman was found after she went missing during her routine walk in the woods, fire officials said.
The woman went out around 4 p.m for a walk in the woods off of Red Hill Road with her dog. Fire officials said this is an area the woman walks frequently.
Her family reported she was missing when she didn't return at 7:30 p.m., Branford Fire Deputy Chief Tim Judd said.
The fire and police departments started a search for the woman at 7:30 p.m. and the woman was found at 8:15 p.m., officials said.
She was evaluated for hypothermia and injuries before being take to Yale-New Haven Hospital for further evaluation.
