A 74-year-old man was pulled from Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield and taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation Tuesday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
DEEP spokesman Dennis Schain said a family member pulled the man from the water. He was conscious and talking as he was put into an ambulance and transported to Danbury Hospital.
Schain said the man may have suffered a medical issue.
Environmental Conservation police are investigating the incident.
