9-Month-Old Found Unresponsive in Sterling Dies: Police

Police are investigating the untimely death of a 9-month-old baby girl found unresponsive in Sterling on Thursday.

State police responded to 12 Logans Way, a private residence where daycare is provided, at 11:44 a.m. to investigate reports that a baby was unresponsive, troopers said.

EMS transported the infant to Backus Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, state police said.

Police said it does not to be a criminal incident and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine cause of death.

The daycare license for the address was revoked in 2015 and no one from the listed daycare responded to NBC Connecticut's request for comment.
