Stop & Shop in Ridgefield gave the 1990s boy band 98 Degrees a warm welcome Wednesday night after an issue over tour buses at a Stop & Shop in Norwalk early this week.

The band had a show at the Ridgefield Playhouse Wednesday and The Hour reported the band’s tour buses were kicked out of a Stop and Shop parking lot in Norwalk the day before after there wasn't enough room for the buses at their hotel.

That led to U.S. Senator Chris Murphy and 98 Degrees connecting on Twitter over the issue.

Senator Murphy saw the article and tweeted that “98 Degrees should be treated like the kings they indisputably are.”

The band then responded on Twitter, joked that they were “looking for less nefarious tour buses” and invited Murphy to the show and “afternoon tea in the royal dining hall backstage.”

On Wednesday, Stop & Shop in Ridgefield made sure the band felt welcome in town and Jeff Timmons posted a photo on Instagram, thanking Stop & Shop for the cake that welcomed the band to town and referenced their hit song "I Do."

Thanks #stopnshop for the beautiful cake.
