ATV Dispute Might Have Led to Double Homicide

A double homicide in New Haven might have all started over an ATV.

On Jan. 29, two men showed up at a home on Front St. looking for Michael Fernandez, police said. After shooting him in the chest, one man walked up to Fernandez and asked "where was his quad," reports The New Haven Register.

After the shooter fired on Fernandez, someone in the home shot back, police said. At some point, Marquis Sumler was hit. Both men died from their injuries.

The home on Front Street is known for drug dealing, police said, and neighbors went to police to express their concerns the day before the shooting happened.
