Another Winner is Lucky for Life

Winners of both lotteries this week were in Connecticut.

Days after one person hit the Lucky for Life jackpot in Connecticut, another person in the state won the same lottery, which pays $1,000 per day for life.

Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday night.

On Monday, April 30, someone who bought a ticket in West Haven won. The winning ticket for Thursday's drawing was also sold in Connecticut. Where is not yet known.

"Check your CT Lottery 'Lucky for Life' draw game tickets.  If you have the combination of 03-08-12-29-37 with a Lucky Ball number of 17 printed on your May 3, 2012 drawing ticket, you've just won $1,000 A DAY, EVERY DAY, for the rest of your LIFE!"  CT Lottery President and CEO, Anne M. Noble, said in a news release.

The prize is paid on a weekly basis. The winners from both the April 30 and May 3 drawings will each receive $7,000 EVERY week (pre-taxes) from the CT Lottery for as long as he or she lives.  The net value of the prize at this time is $3,781 (post-taxes) per week.

Lucky for Life began on March 11, 2012, and is the first "New England Only" lottery game.   Tickets and prizes expire 180 days from the date of draw.  Winners are encouraged to sign winning tickets immediately to establish ownership.

Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased at Lottery retailers in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Drawings are held at 10:38 pm.
