Anti-Semitic Graffiti Found at a Playground

Eight incidents of anti-Semitic writing and symbols have been reported across town.

West Hartford police are investigating after finding a swastika symbol and "KKK" writing on a welcome sign at the Beachland Park playground on South Quaker Lane on Thursday. 

A black swastika symbol was also found on the steps and walls of St. Brigid School on Mayflower Street on Thursday afternoon.

Eight incidents of anti-Semitic writing and symbols have been reported across town.

Police said the incidents appear to be random and no individuals were targeted.

Other discriminating writings and symbols were found at the Alcye Carella Dance Studio and New England Information Services on New Britain Avenue.

AA Electrical Services on Reed Avenue and several locations on Cortland Street were also vandalized with graffiti.

The city is planning to notify the anti-defamation league about the vandalism.
