Fairfield police said they’ve solved a series of car break-ins.
Giovanny Colon, 22, of 1244 Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport was arrested on Thursday after a brief foot chase with police.
Officers finally caught up with him in front of the Stratfield Mobil at 1271 Stratfield Road.
Colon is accused of breaking the rear windows of the vehicles on Fairfield Woods Road and then taking items from the cars.

He’s been charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief. Colon’s bond is set at $10,000 and he’s scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 1.
