West Hartford police have taken Angel Rodriguez, 26, of Hartford, into custody. They said he is suspected in a stabbing early Sunday morning at 1171 Boulevard, 3rd floor, police said.
Police said two men were fighting in the residence.
Officers responded at 2:10 a.m. and the victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital to be treated for a serious physical injury. He is expected to recover.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Rodriguez, who they said fled the scene.
He was taken into custody on Monday for parole violations. A warrant charging him with one count of assault in the first degree will be served through the courts, police said.
A court date has not yet been set.
