Judge Extends Sealing of Warrants In Yale Murder

A judge has decided to seal the arrest warrants in the murder case of  a Yale University doctoral student for at least two more weeks.

Lab technician Raymond Clark III has been charged with killing Annie Le five days before her wedding. She had been stuffed inside a wall in the basement of a research building in Yale's medical school complex.

Le's  body was found on Sept. 13, the Sunday she was to marry Jonathan Widawsky, a Columbia University student.

Prosecutors had asked that the documents be sealed until Oct. 12. On Monday, New Haven Superior Court Judge Roland Fasano extended the sealing.

Le was laid to rest last weekend in her home state of California after a funeral Mass in El Dorado Hills, about 30 miles east of Sacramento.

The church pastor, Monsignor James Kidder, said Le's interest in medical research reflected her outlook on life, which emphasized caring about others.

The service  followed a memorial service held earlier in the week at Widawsky's Long Island synagogue.

Yale officials are planning an Oct. 12 memorial service on campus and said they are establishing a scholarship in her memory.
