Ban on Yale Fraternity Pledging Lifted

Pledge activities have resumed at the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity at Yale.

The chapter got into some trouble after its pledges were heard yelling sexist and offensive chants around campus. DKE's national organization told it to stop all pledge activities in October.

Yale's DKE president, Jordan Forney, told the Yale Daily News that the ban was removed in early November, less than a month after it was imposed.

Forney told the paper that the chapter's new pledge class will be formally inducted next semester.
