Hundreds of cars are being auctioned off this weekend as one of the largest auto shows in the northeast kicks off.
Mohegan sun officials said the Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction is the largest event they've ever held. 60,000 tickets were sold. More than 550 cars will go home with a new driver. Some cars dated back as far as 1913, according to Mohegan Sun staff.
"Just the thrill of them seeing them in this condition,” said Stephen Ditrich of Pennsylvania.
The highest price for a car sold as of Friday afternoon was $150,000. Staff said Saturday night cars could sell for as much as $1,000,000 or more.
Mohegan Sun Officials said this event is the first year of a 5-year-contract with Barrett Jackson
