What's better than a dramatic football win for Bassick High School? How about $15,000 to go along with it.
The Bassick High School football team is one of ten finalists for the State Farm "Friday Night Feats Contest". On November 16, with 15.5 seconds left on the clock, Bassick quarterback Rodney Lanham ducked defenders and then lofted a game winning toss to receiver Davonte Petey Franklin.
Bassick won the game defeating Harding in a battle of Bridgeport high schools and now their video of the play was selected out of 51 submissions to make it to the final ten.
