Rowland: Blagojevich Should Resign

Rowland offers advice to embattled Illinois governor

Former Connecticut Gov. John Rowland has some advice for embattled Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. Resign.

Rowland appeared on the Fox Newschannel show  "Huckabee" this weekend.

The Republican resigned as Connecticut governor in 2004 amid a corruption scandal.  He spent 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to related charges.

Blagojevich was arrested last week on charges he tried to sell the open Illinois Senate seat once occupied by President-elect Barack Obama.

Rowland said Blagojevich should step down immediately.
