When “Bite Me!” Goes A Touch Too Far

Francis Woodruff, 51, is accused of taking Rochelle Wyler literally when she told him sarcastically to "bite me".  The two work together at the Connecticut Police Academy, he as an instructor.

State police say Woodruff told them he was horsing around and only pretended to bite Wyler. Court documents show that Woodruff chomped on the woman's arm, leaving teeth marks and bruising.  He is facing charges of disorderly conduct and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Woodruff, who is also a training coordinator at the Meriden Police Department, has been placed on leave from that job.
