Bloody Traffic Ticket Leads Cops to Drug Factory

A bloody traffic summons led police to a discover a drug warehouse inside a New Canaan home.

Police in Pound Ridge, New York, called New Canaan police after receiving a summons Jason Lewonuk, 32, of Forest Street send to them,the News Times reports. It had blood and other body fluid on it, police said.

When New Canaan police went to check on the man, they noticed a broken window and blood inside the home. Once inside, they noticed drugs left out in plain view.

Officers seized about two pounds of marijuana, a marijuana plant, scales, packaging material, literature on how to grow marijuana and a 12-gauge shotgun, police said. They also found blood-soaked towels, blood on rugs and walls and in a bathtub, the Times reports.  

Lewonuk faces a number of drug-related charges. He was also treated for cuts on his face that cops said might have been, "self-inflicted during a period of intoxication," the Times reports.
