UNH Student's Body Found on West Haven Trail

A young boy found a body as he was cutting through the woods, neighbors said.

The University of New Haven is offering counseling after a student was found dead on a walking trail in West Haven.

Stirling Danskin's body was found on Wednesday afternoon several blocks away from the campus.

There are no signs of foul play, according to the University of New Haven. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy.

Danskin, 20, of Waterford, was a sophomore studying music and sound recording, according to the school.

Neighbors said that a young boy found the body as he was cutting through the woods in the area of Chauncey Street and Rockdale Road.

Residents said the woods are a frequent party spot for college kids.
