Middletown police are investigating the drowning of a 3-year-old boy over the weekend.
Police responded to 44 Chamberlain Hill Road around 8 p.m. on Saturday for a report of possible drowning after a family member found the boy in the pool , police said.
Paramedics and police initiated CPR and emergency crews transported the boy to Middlesex Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Middletown Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating.
