Attempting a Bubble Blowing Record

Students hope to set a world record.

Students in New Britain are hoping to help break a world record for bubble blowing.

On Thursday, students at Gaffney Elementary School will join others around the nation and around the world to attempt to set a new world record for the most bubbles blown at one time.
According to Guinness World Records, 23,680 people in a soccer stadium in London blew bubbles into the air for one minute to set the world in 1999.
Along with setting the world record, organizers hope to raise awareness about autism.
The bubble blowing attempt will happen between 12:55 p.m. and 1:05 pm.
