Burglary Suspect Tells Police He Was on Crack

West Haven police responded to an odd incident in town on Saturday afternoon when a Savin Avenue resident called 911 just before 1:30 p.m. to tell police that someone had gone into his garage and was now sitting inside his car.

When police arrived at the house, they found Marcus Mcintosh, 21, of Norfolk Street in West Haven sitting inside the owner’s vehicle, parked inside his garage. He would later tell police that he had taken crack cocaine, according to police.

Someone unlocked the car as officers approached an Mcintosh was combative, police said.

Officers used a stun gun to subdue him.

Mcintosh was charged with burglary, larceny, interfering with police and possession of narcotics.

He was held on $10,000 bond at the West Haven Police Department and later told police he was under the influence of crack cocaine.

He is due in court today.

Mcintosh lives about 3-and-a-half miles away from the house where he was found.
