A burned body was found in West Haven on Wednesday afternoon and police are investigating.
People who were walking near the West River canoe launch off of Boston Post Road found the body around 3:15 p.m. and officials said the body was burned beyond recognition, accoring to police.
Police don't know whether the body is of a man or woman or whether foul play was involved.
No additional information is available.
