Bus Driver Injured in Fowl Collision

An ill-fated bird survived Thanksgiving, but caused a lot of commotion on a Connecticut highway and a sent a bus driver to the hospital.
 
A wild turkey and a Vermont Greyhound bus collided on Interstate 84 westbound, near exit 32 in Southington Thursday afternoon.
 
The impact broke the bus' windshield, sending glass shards into the driver's face, police said. The driver was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment and is recovering.
 
Eighteen passengers were on the bus when the fowl collision occurred.
