Dr. Zulma Toro will be the new president of Central Connecticut State University.
Dr. Toro is currently interim chancellor, executive vice chancellor, provost and professor of engineering at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and she will succeed President John Miller, who retired in September.
Miller served as university president for 11 years.
Toro will begin her new position on Jan. 3, 2017 and her salary will be $289,500.
