It's Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, like you've never seen him before.
The Democrat sported a clown suit at Yale-New Haven Children's Cancer Center, to cheer up children battling cancer.
The costume change from the usual jacket, dress shirt, tie and dress pants came after Blumenthal lost a challenge with WPLR-FM disc jockeys Chaz and AJ.
The attorney general agreed to dress up as a clown and entertain ill children, if the station raised $50,000 during its Tommy Fund Radiothon. The event raised money for the fight against pediatric cancer. When donations were added up, the total donation was $60,000.
"I am really moved and inspired to be here with kids who have real courage and doctors who provide great care," Blumenthal said. "If I can brighten their day and raise some money and better support for the families, all the better."
