Central Connecticut State University in New Britain closed Vance Academic Center Thursday and Friday after a bomb threat was found written in graffiti inside a bathroom.
CCSU Police investigated the threat and searched the building. The school doesn’t believe the threat is credible, but they are taking precautions. All other buildings will remain open on campus.
Students said Friday was a scheduled study day before finals begin next week.
CCSU sent the following statement to students Thursday night:
CCSU Police are reporting the discovery of an unspecified bomb threat in graffiti in a men's room in Vance Academic Center.
While the threat may be bogus, precautions are being taken, and CCSU Police are conducting a thorough investigation of Vance.
The State Police bomb squad has been notified, and will be called in if further investigation is warranted.

This message is being sent as a precaution and to explain the additional police activity. If more information is discovered and further campus action is recommended, the Emergency Notification System as well as notices on the web and via email will be implemented.
At this time, the police do not believe an evacuation is warranted.
Vance is closed and will remain closed tomorrow. All other campus buildings will remain open and operational as usual.
