Car Crashes Into Enfield Home

The car went airborne and crashed into the house.

Two people were taken to a local hospital after a car slammed into a home on North Maple Street, according to police.

The car appeared to have gone airborne and crashed into the home at 280 North Maple St. around 8:15 p.m. on Friday.

Police said the driver lost control after having a medical issue. Both the male driver and his wife suffered injuries.

A building inspector checked the integrity of the house before the car was removed.

The owner of the Buona Vita Restaurant next door came outside when he heard the commotion.

"We heard something was going on. ... Guess he had a seizure," George Carabase said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
