Residents of three multifamily houses in Hartford are out of their homes on a very snowy Wednesday morning after a car hit a house and the gas meter.
The car struck 468 Wethersfield Ave. and caused a gas leak. Residents of that house and two others were evacuated and put on a Connecticut Transit bus, officials said.
Everything has been closed off within a two-block radius and gas was shut off to the complex.
Police received the call at 8:40 a.m. The driver is in stable condition of Hartford Hospital, officials said, and the crash seems to be weather-related.
There was no visible damage to the house. How many people were affected is not yet known.
