The northbound side of Maple Avenue in Hartford was closed for a little bit early on Friday morning after a car hit a pole at the Gilman Street intersection.
The pole came down and was out across Gilman Street. The road has since reopened.
The car, a Honda Accord, also came close to crashing into Gemini's Night Club and was towed from the scene.
A worker arrived at the scene and sawed the pole in half to remove it.
