Charter School Enrollment Could Boost by 600

Governor's budget funds enrollment boost.

More than 600 additional children could enroll in charter schools in Connecticut next fall.

The state board of education is voting on Wednesday on a measure that would increase charter school enrollment by 622 students.

Gov. Dannel Malloy's new state budget funds the proposal, but that could change if union members don't approve the labor concessions that the governor and union leaders negotiated.
