Child Brings Pot to School for Snack: Cops

4-year-old pulled nine bags of marijuana from his pocket, police said.

Snack time took on a whole new meaning at a Meriden elementary school Tuesday.

A 4-year-old special needs student at Hanover Elementary School told his teacher he had snacks, and pulled marijuana from his pocket, according to police.

The teacher called police, and turned over nine individually-wrapped bags of pot to officers when they arrived. The bags appeared to be wrapped for sale, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine where the marijuana snack came from. The Department of Children and Families was called in to investigate the boy's family.

No arrests have been made, but authorities said arrests are possible pending their investigation.
