A would-be robber left a New Haven Dunkin’ Donuts empty-handed when a clerk refused to give him the money he asked for on Sunday morning.
A man, went into the dough-nut shop at 255 Kimberly Ave. at 11:06 a.m. and demanded money, but the clerk refused, police said.
The man tried again, this time claiming he had a gun, even though he did not show one.
Again, the clerk refused, police said, so the man drove off, empty-handed in a white Volkswagen Jetta.
