Co-Defendant in Hernandez Case Held Without Bail

A 41-year-old man facing an accessory to murder charge in the case involving former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been ordered held without bail.

Ernest Wallace, of Miramar, Florida, pleaded not guilty on Monday in Attleboro, Mass., court. He mouthed "I love you" to some people sitting in the courtroom.

Odin Lloyd was found slain June 17 at an industrial park in North Attleboro, not far from Hernandez's Massachusetts home.

Hernandez, a native of Bristol, Connecticut, was cut from the Patriots within hours after being arrested.

Prosecutors called Lloyd's killing an execution-style shooting orchestrated by Hernandez because his friend talked to the wrong people at a nightclub. Hernandez could face life in prison, if convicted.

Prosecutors said Wallace and another man, Carlos Ortiz, were with Hernandez when they drove with Lloyd to the industrial park. They have not said who shot him.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty.

Wallace returns to court July 22.
