Little League Coach's Tirade Caught on Camera

Umpire called game after being subjected to several outbursts, witnesses said.

Some parents are crying foul over a tirade by a coach during a Little League game that was caught on camera.

The game between 11-year-olds from Wilton and Oxford was played at Posypanko Park in Oxford Sunday. A umpire ejected the Wilton's third base coach for arguing a foul ball, and that led to an outburst by the team's first base coach, according to witnesses.

"You're a moron," the coach can be heard saying in a video of the tirade.

The umpire called the game, with Oxford leading 9-2 in the third inning, saying he was fed up with the harassment by the Wilton coaches.

Parents from Oxford said the outburst frightened some of the children.

"You're setting an example for my child. That's not an example my child should see," said Dawn Walker, the mother of an Oxford player.

The umpire wasn't the only one on the receiving end of the rage. According to witnesses, the coach screamed at his players in the dugout.

Calls for comment from the Wilton Little League were not returned. NBC Connecticut has learned one of the coaches involved, James Longo, called the umpire to apologize.
