Connecticut's health insurance marketplace is reminding new enrollees with one of the three companies offering plans on the state's exchange that they must make their premium payment before they can obtain a valid identification number.
Access Health CT said those payments must be paid to Anthem, ConnectiCare Benefits Inc. or HealthyCT and be in the carrier's possession by Jan. 10.
Access Health CT said many consumers have asked what they need to do to get care beginning Jan. 1 or later if they have not yet received an ID card. Access Health said it depends on which plan or program a consumer is eligible for.
Consumers are advised to call their new insurance company if they have not yet received their bill.
