Free admission, free gifts and special exhibits are being offered on Saturday for Connecticut Open House Day.
Events are planned from Ansonia to Woodstock. At Willow Tree Pottery, in Ashford, guests will receive a handmade amulet. Visit the Barnum Museum and you can get $1 off a regular admission.
At Lake Compounce, admission will be reduced to $10 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The state website says it is a great way to experience all the state has to offer and then share the experience with your friends and family this summer.
The state recommends you check the site frequently since new properties are still being added.
