Cops Bust Alleged Senior Home Drug Dealer

Here's a lesson for would-be drug dealers. No matter where you run your business, the cops might be watching.

In Fairfield, a 60-year-old wheelchair-bound man was arrested at a senior citizens' housing complex, reports the Connecticut Post.

Harold Kuhn was charged last week with illegally selling narcotic painkillers from his apartment at Parish Court.

Neighbors triggered a police investigation by telling officers there was "an unusual amount of cars and pedestrian traffic" from Kuhn's apartment, Lt. James Perez told the Post.

"When you're in a good, quiet neighborhood, there's no way you can start an illegal business without attracting attention and that's exactly what happened here," Perez told the Fairfield Citizen.

When officers got enough evidence to search Kuhn's apartment, they found what they describe as a large amount of Oxycodone and Oxycontin pills and seized $760 in cash, the Post reports.

"You might not see them and they might look like everyone else, because they don't wear a uniform, but they're always out there, networking and making sure our community remains safe, without fanfare," Perez told the Post of the detectives. "They are the department's unsung heroes. We never really hear from them because they are not meant to be heard from. This is an example of their work behind the scenes."
