State police have charged a Chaplin couple in connection with an investigation into a possible sex assault of a minor.
On Nov. 28, 2011, police began investigating the possible sexual assault of a minor in Chaplin.
Danielson Superior Court issued warrants charging Doreen Romann, 36, and Otto Romann, 35, with risk of injury to a minor. The court issued another warrant for a person suspected of committing sexual assault, according to a news release from state police. That person's name has not been released.
Doreen and Otto Romann turned themselves in to state police on Wednesday morning on outstanding warrants. They were released and are due to appear in court on April 5.
Police said there is an outstanding warrant for the suspect in the sexual assault.
